
Both our apartments are located just 14 kilometres
from Malaga airport. Benalmadena
is situated between Malaga and Fuengirola and
is almost an extension of Torremolinos. Benalmadena
comprises of three totally different centres, Benalmadena
Pueblo, Arroyo De La Miel and Benalmadena Costa.
Benalmadena Pueblo is a typical Andalusia village
set in the mountains where a spectacular monument
in honour of Christopher Columbus has been erected.
The Archaeological Museum In Pueblo houses a collection
of mainly South American artefacts, pre-dating the
Discovery of America. The views are magnificent from
the small walled garden of the local church.
Arroyo De La Miel is the small commercial town, famous
for it popular attractions such as Tivoli
World Fun Park, where thrilling rides can be taken or you can
relax by the bars whilst watching one of its many
excellent shows. The train station is located by
Tivoli
World and will take you to Malaga via Torremolinos
and in the opposite direction to Fuengirola. The
Teleferico cable car is located by Tivoli World and
will take you to the peak of Mount Calmorro, more
than 600m high. Or, for those who like to keep there
feet firmly on the ground there is the La Paloma
Park where a relaxing stroll can be enjoyed or for
those who are interested in animals the Selwo
zoo can be enjoyed.
Benalmadena Costa is the coastline of the area. Here
you will find activities to suit all tastes and ages.
From days spent basking in the Mediterranean sun
or strolling along the promenade to the Puerto
Marina,
which has twice won the prestigious 'Best Marina
in the World' award, an absolutely beautiful site
by day and night. The Marina holds a wealth shops,
restaurants, bars, boutiques and a Sea
Life centre.
There are golf and water sports facilities in the
area. The Torrequebrada
Golf course is located close
to the casino on the outskirts of the town.
Excursions to Rhonda, Seville, Granada, Mijas and
Gibraltar are all on offer at this exceptional resort.
